About this position:
Our client is a leading multidisciplined contractor providing solutions to clients including Industrial support services (Painting, Blasting, Fabrication), Civil engineering, Rail contracting, and have a requirement for a “hands-on” Bid Writer to produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates the companies value proposition.
The Role:
- Preparing professional related PQQ and Tender submissions to tight deadlines
- Completion of capability statements/expression of interest documents
- Compilation and delivery of client orientated presentations
- Attend bid review meetings and action as appropriate
- Review tender requirements and write the information for tender submission for all business areas
- Manage and write the library of information used by the Marketing department for future tenders
- Populate all sections of each tender, ensuring that the documentation is written and presented to the highest possible standard
- Co-ordinate and manage tender submission process. Develop an information library for the effective business development of operations
- Work with other departments across the Organisation to develop sections of information for inclusion into future bids such as key areas of strength; which should include - departmental case studies, marketing approach, human resource experience etc.
- Ensure that the information is continuously updated to ensure that the Organisation's areas of expertise and innovation are promoted
- Other duties as required
- The role will report into the Senior Bid Writer
The Person:
- Elements of the work are office based and require long periods at a computer.
- Working to tight deadlines.
- Travel / driving to sites is required.
- Degree or equivalent qualifications, ideally in a Construction/Civil / Mechanical Engineering / QS related discipline or creative writing, journalism etc would be desirable.
- Previous experience of working in a similar role with desire to develop.
- Previous experience of managing own workload is essential.
- Sound understanding of commercial challenges. An enthusiasm for creating winning bids; passionate about client and bid success is essential.
