About this position: 

Our client is a leading British food group who manufacture a range of short shelf life and ambient products for predominately UK retail customers. They are entering a period of planned growth and are looking to appoint an experienced Supply Chain executive to deliver a group wide excellence agenda.

The Role: 
  • Reporting directly to the CEO, you will design and deliver a Group wide supply chain (Warehousing & Logistics) excellence agenda with complete strategic & budgetary responsibility for a broad function across multiple sites.
  • Will manage a multi-functional workforce and work closely alongside senior leadership peers, third parties and customers to ensure group quality and commercial targets are achieved.
  • Overall responsibility for supply planning and material scheduling activities, you will optimise available resources to deliver efficient capacity utilisation, stock control, plant supply and customer service levels.

 

  • Will drive SC continuous improvement activities across all areas of warehousing and transport and implement key Health & Safety initiatives to drive best practice.
The Person: 
  • Degree educated, you will have experience leading £multimillion warehousing and transport budgets (internal or 3rd party) within the food sector. Additional experience leading production planning and scheduling functions highly advantageous.

 

  • Commercially aware with excellent negotiation skills and the gravitas to represent the business at a senior level with both customers and suppliers.

 

  • A natural team player and communicator with the ability to work closely alongside senior leadership peers across all functions including the Chief exec to increase business performance during a period of transformation and planned growth.
