About this position: 

Our client is a leading UK and International Testing and Certification business with an ambitious programme of planned business growth. Due to continued expansion and acquisitions, they wish to appoint a Business Unit Director.

The Role: 

• Reporting into the CEO, you will have full P&L responsibility for the business unit, commercially and operationally.
• To collaborate with the global business sector to agree and introduce new service lines and key customer accounts in the UK.
• To develop and implement entrepreneurial strategies to ensure the future growth of the business in line with company expectations and targets.
• To work in open collaboration with international colleagues to maximise global opportunities. Define strategy and implement it.

The Person: 

• Ideally of graduate calibre you will have held P&L in one of the following areas, Construction, Contracting, Multidisciplined Consultancy Services, Hard FM or the wider Test, Inspection and Certification sector.
• You will be a strategic leader, coaching and influencing employees within the business. Capable of creating strong customer relationships, enabling the business to be the partner of choice.
• The ability to create a business culture that is sales/growth orientated. Bring a dynamic, driven and motivated approach to the company and support the changes in culture required to maintain the company at the leading edge of the industry.
