About this position: 

Our client is an integrated solutions company with operations in Ireland, UK, France, and China. They design, manufacturer, and installs modular precast concrete infrastructure solutions to clients across Housebuilding, Water Utility (Water & Wastewater infrastructure), Data Centres, Airport infrastructure and Energy. The business has a particular strategy around off-site manufacture of housing that it will develop, therefore experience in this sector would be a benefit.

Focused on enhancing their position in the rapidly growing UK and Irish markets to meet demand for high quality engineered products manufactured both on & off-site they wish to appoint a Chartered Engineering Manager.

The Role: 
  • Responsible for providing overall engineering leadership & direction including innovation strategy.


  • Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective engineering and innovation performance and shaping the technical strategy of the Company.


  • Lead the Design Department and assist on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to design, engineering, and innovation.


  • Support the technical management of relationships with key customers, suppliers, and JV partners.


  • Share their knowledge, experience and creativity in driving profitability, guiding the design & detailing teams and ensuring the competitive and profitable performance of the organisation, while always maintaining the highest standards of health & safety in both factory and site-based activities and processes.
The Person: 
  • Qualified Structural Engineer with Charted status with experience in the manufacturing or construction sector and in particular with reinforced concrete solutions.


  • Self-motivated individual who has extensive industry experience and strong commercial awareness.


  • Experience of working, managing, influencing, and building relationships at all levels of a business.


  • Good interpersonal, problem solving, analytical and two-way communication skills.
